these prints are by Jason at LaFerrera, and are pretty damn fantastic!
This blog is just for me and anyone who is brave enough to co-habitate with me, and is solely a list of things that I would like to reside in my humble abode... that is all.

Sand dollars
I love the look of these things, I love the idea of a bowl of these things on a dining table, a scattering of them on sideboards or even a framed display

Plants and accessories
Although i have a Distinct love for all that is brown and a wicked sepia fetish , its always nice to have a splash of colour, i love plants in a room, so why not add s splast of green maintaining a naturalist almost jungle theme with some exotic plants, add a touch of excitement with some hanging carnivorous plants adding an aspect of hieght simultaniously...
Drift wood is organic and can be used to make anything, maybe a group to make a display? or even hung individually on a wall?

Also cheese plants are pretty cool in my opinion, relatively in expensive and bomb proof but having magnificent shaped giant leaves |
Some character enhancing statement pieces perhaps? |

Coffee tables!
I have long been a fan of reclaimed items being used for furniture and I absolutely LOVE the use of factory carts as coffee tables, they are both, fictional, quirky and interesting, whilst still creating a statement piece in a room, also, every man has a love for steam trains, and the marvelous wheels on these spark the joy of childhood, in me at least.
This is definitely my favorite of the two, it's simple and understated |
Trunks are anotheralternative to the conventional table, and come in a multitude of shapes sizes and materials, heres a wooden one that i think is pretty average, id much rather have a leather one, thos things are boss!
Case and point...
This sea trunk is pretty damn awesome as well, and would make an epic side table, maybe adorned with some rope, a nautical lamp or some scientific equipment or specimin jar, also it doubles as a storage unit :D
I absolutely love this! it reminds me of a specimen cabinet and it made from one of my favorite materials: leather :D that think will last forever
This last one i like the idea of, but i find the colour a little 'Wishy washy' but the handles are ace, i'd refer it a little darker with brass handles, but hey thats just me... also it reminds me of my old art room, well they are printers drawers after all...

Imagine the stand alone items in box frames on the wall or in small wicker baskets on a dresser... its a modern twist on a 19th century phenomenon, for this reason i am trying to learn to crochet, with varying degree's of success
